Our first win! I could not be more proud of how hard the girls played. They have been working so hard in practice on fundamentals, offensive sets, and defense. This big win proved that hard work can pay off! This game will go down in history as my first coaching win, and I could not be happier that it was with this great group of girls! Their defense was strong and relentless, as demonstrated by holding Lake Shore to only 9 points. Our 2-2-1 full court press really helped us in the second half as well. The girls made me laugh a bit because they were shocked at how well it worked! 

Moving forward, we will continue to place emphasis on rebounding on both halves of the court and finishing our lay-ups. I would like to give a special shout-out to our leading scorers: Veronica Niarhos (14 pts.) and Alyssa Gulisano (6 pts.). Alyssa also was a big contributor on defense, getting stops and stealing the ball throughout the game. What a great win and an even better team!
