This was a game where the team was tested on many levels. We had multiple players not able to play due to injury or illness. As a result, we were not able to sub as much, so most of the girls played the entire game. Regardless of the circumstances, the girls still played very hard and fought until the last seconds! I am proud of the resilience they showed in the face of adversity! Even with the odds stacked against them, they held Chippewa to only 25 points!

I would like to give a very special shout-out to two important players of the game, Veronica Niarhos and Lexie Vadio. Veronica was the leading scorer with a total of 8 points, and Lexie did a great job during her debut as point guard at the high school level. I could not be more proud of both of them for the crucial roles they played in this game, but I am especially proud of Lexie for stepping up as leader of the offense and not backing down when Chippewa was playing hard defense on her. Go Veronica and Lexie!
