L’Anse Creuse Wrestling has had an outstanding season and are currently 15-2 on the season. The Lancers recently clinched the MAC White dual meet on January 24^th by defeating MAC White rival Lamphere, 36-34. The dual came down to the last match of the evening. All State Sophomore Cole Dunn needed to win the match by technical fall or by pin in order for the Lancers to win the dual. The match was close heading into the second period with Dunn winning but not by enough to win the dual. The Lamphere wrestler took a deep shot on Dunn. However, Dunn’s defense was too much for his opponent to handle, and countered his opponent straight to his back for the pin to clinch the MAC White Dual meet championship.

Moving forward, the team had a rest week leading into the MAC Red/White tournament championship held on February 2^nd. The Lancers entered eleven wrestlers into the tournament and placed eight. This put LC as the top finisher in the MAC White Division to clinch the MAC White tournament championship.

Our JV wrestlers have had an outstanding season as well. They have wrestled a tough dual and tournament schedule this season. We will look to them in the 2019-2020  season to fill the 7 spots left by graduating seniors, Jacob Lagocki, Michael Hazelton (C), Michael Rademaker, Dylan Rose, Sam Shaw (C), Jaylen Sulton, and Wyatt Peltier.
