Tuesday September 11, L'Anse Creuse High School played at Chippewa Valley for their first league game in 2018. The Lancers won the match in 5 games. The Lady Lancers had a great start winning the first two games 25 - 15 and a come from behind victory at 26 - 24. Then Chippewa Valley came back and won two matches in a row 25 -21 and 25 - 23. In the final game the Lancers stepped up and defeated Chippewa 15 - 6. Some key players for L'Anse Creuse were Ashley Thomas, who had 6 Aces overall. Sydney Jackson and Daniah Beavers had 7 kills each. Alyssa Hoeldtke added 6 kills, and our setters Gabbie Ghrist contributed 17 assists as well as Jaycie LaValley who had 10 assists. All of the girls played wonderful and contributed to the first victory in league play. Way to go Lady Lancers!! Their next game is Thursday September 13 at 6:30 pm at L'Anse Creuse High School.
