The Lancer varsity volleyball team opened their season at Port Huron beating Port Huron and Utica Stevenson. Playing in Port Huron’s annual quad, the Lancers saw fellow MAC teams in PHHS and Stevenson and non MAC member in Cros-Lex. Each athlete contributed to the outcomes with key plays from outsides Hannah Verhaeghe, Alana Powell, Ella Rivard, and middle blocker Alexa Ward who were each trusted with at least 30 attempts through the night. Sydney Duryee held down the back row with 38 digs. Junior setter Lilly Cairo ended the night with a team high 4 aces and 25 assists. Senior setter Alaina Dujardin ended the night with 28 assists.
